Publication Policy

  • Manuscripts submitted for publication in the journal are sent to two expert referees determined by the Editorial Board after the preliminary review of the editor.
  • If both referees approve the article, it is decided to publish the article. If both referees reject the article, the article will not be published. If one referee approves and the other rejects the manuscript, the Editorial Board may decide to send the manuscript to a third referee or reject it, taking into account the content of the reports.
  • Manuscripts that are decided to be published are sent back to the author(s) to make the corrections specified in the referee reports. After the corrections are made, the editor checks whether the referee comments have been taken into account and decides whether the article will be published.

Article evaluation time

We aim to complete the evaluation process of manuscripts submitted to Perspectives in Palliative & Home Care (PPHC) within 12 weeks following the preliminary review. In extraordinary cases, this period may be extended slightly.

Amendments and withdrawals

For manuscripts submitted to Perspectives in Palliative & Home Care (PPHC), authors can contact the journal editors with a petition stating that they wish to withdraw their manuscripts that have not started the review process. Unless the withdrawal request is approved by the Editorial Board, authors cannot send their manuscripts to another journal for review.

Changes, Withdrawals

Initially, editors assume that authors base their work on honest observations. If there are cases where typographical errors in the manuscript require correction or proofreading, the corrections are included on a numbered page in the table of contents. If there is scientific dishonesty, the journal issues a retraction notice. The retraction text explains the reason for retracting the article.

Conflict of Interest

To avoid conflicts of interest, editors should avoid bringing together individuals with whom they may have a relationship in the review process. Editors who make the final decision on manuscripts should not have any personal, professional or financial connection with the subjects of the decision. Individuals should inform the Editorial Board about possible conflicts of interest so that their articles can be evaluated within the framework of ethical principles and an independent process can be carried out.

If the manuscript involves a direct or indirect commercial link or an organization providing financial support, the authors should indicate on the title page that they have no commercial relationship with the commercial product, drug or company used, or if there is any relationship, what kind of relationship (consultant, other agreements) they have. In addition, if there is a conflict of interest, the author should disclose it. Conflicts of interest expected to be declared include academic endeavors, personal relationships, political, financial or institutional affiliations.
